So I was looking for the emblem on etsy and the price isn't in my price range, the small ones were ok but the big one on the back is a bit pricey so I found this tutorial which doesn't look too hard but I believe it will take quite a bit of money.

Akame's skirt
So I finally started working on Akame's Cosplay and in about 7-8 hours of work I got her skirt, it took me a lot longer than I thought it would, I just started working when I got home around to 6 and next thing I know its 11, I personally really enjoyed working on it and I wanted it to finish it that evening but my back and hands were killing me :( so I finished it the next day. It's kind of finished I just need to add the wee straps for where the belt goes.

Progress
Here's some progress on Lightning's gunblade that I have been working on, and yes I do know there's a bunch of flaws in it like you can see the lines of paper from paper mache I did -.-
for the base of it I used normal craft foam, which you can find in the kids craft section, I found mine in poundland, and I just place one beside each other and used masking tape to hold them. Then I just drew them on with the template I made.
Next I did the paper mache, I also forgot to add more craft foam too make it look 3D at the start, and i did paper mache again over the whole thing.
I painted the whole thing using normal acrylic paint and I'm done I think I might make the dark grey a lighter grey colour. Over all I think it turned out pretty well the only thing I don't like about it is probably the way i painted it meaning I'll probably repaint it.

Lightning's Gunblade
So I was working on Lightning's gunblade where I basically stuck a few white pages together and drew out the basic idea of the life size I would want it to be. This basically gives me an estimated size.
I also drew in most of the details I want to be on it.
here's the references I used for it. Hope this helps anyone on how to start making a prop :)

Hecate II
Here's the scope I made for Sinon's Hecate II I realized its not really accurate since I made it really simple but I its the very first prop I made for any character and I'm quite proud of it :3
So I basically got a roll from gift wrapping its basically like a toilet roll except thicker and smaller which made it more sturdy. Then i got some craft foam and layered it, covered it in paper mache and once it dried i spray painted with a black mate paint as well as added a bit of detail with silver paint and a paint brush, you cant really see the details since i was scared to add too much and its a bit better in person :). Hope this help's too anyone trying to make a prop on what materials you could use.
